Founded in 1995, ALBA Contractors, Inc. began as a small family-owned business. Our cofounders, Al and Carmelina Sluga started their company in the hopes of providing the highest quality of construction services to both residential and commercial customers.

Carmelina Sluga
President
Carmelina Sluga is the proud co-founder and serves as President on the Board of Directors. She is majority shareholder in the organization. She graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree and brings years of experience in business management, operations, strategic planning, financial management, and strong leadership. As Co-Founder, Carmelina plays a key role in the continuing development of the company and oversees long-term strategies that support growth and sustainability.
As a locally owned and operated business, Carmelina understands the unique needs of the community and is committed to providing personalized service with every project. Whether assisting homeowners who want to enhance their property with a new patio or driveway or supporting business owners who require durable and visually appealing commercial concrete work, she brings the knowledge, team, and tools needed to exceed expectations.
Al Sluga
Director of Sales
Al Sluga is the proud co-founder and Director of Sales and serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors. He began working in the trades at a very young age. While in high school and shortly afterwards, he gained hands-on experience working alongside his grandfather, uncle, and father-in-law, all of whom specialized in construction, concrete and waterproofing.
With years of experience in the residential and commercial construction industry,
Al has developed extensive expertise in on-site supervision, estimating, project management and office administration.
As Director of Sales, Al oversees the sales department and leads business development efforts across both residential and commercial markets.
He manages client relationships, estimates and proposals, and drives strategic growth initiatives for the company.

Gianna Sluga
Director of Operations
Gianna graduated with an associate’s degree from Lakeland Community College and is Director of Operations at ALBA Contractors, Inc. She currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors and is a shareholder of the organization. She oversees daily operations and ensures the projects are completed with efficiency, accuracy, and exceptional quality. She plays a key role in collaborating closely with clients to align each project with their functional needs, budget, and aesthetic vision. Gianna coordinates the teams and supports daily operations and timely project completion. Gianna is dedicated to ALBA’s long-standing commitment to professionalism, integrity, and outstanding customer service. She works closely with both residential and commercial clients to ensure their vision is brought to life, delivering results that are durable, aesthetically pleasing, and built to last.
Paola Hornung
Director of Finance
Paola is a graduate of Kent State University, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and serves as Director of Finance as well as Treasurer on the Board of Directors. Paola joined the team in 2023 and brings a vast knowledge of accounting and tax experience.
Her previous experiences with Mailwell/ Cenveo and Gallagher Enterprises allow her to utilize her broad knowledge on a smaller scale. Her role at ALBA Contractors Inc. consists of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll administration. She supports the company by overseeing budgeting, cash flow, tracking, and monthly financial reporting to help ensure strong financial oversight and continued growth. She maintains accurate job costing and expense tracking across projects to ensure that financial processes are efficient and align with ALBA’s operational goals.
Joshua Keating
Project Manager/Sales
Josh Keating serves Project Manager and Sales Manager. He brings extensive experience in concrete construction across both residential and commercial projects. Josh joined ALBA Contractors Inc. with a strong background in the industry, and his hands-on field experience gives him superior technical knowledge, which he utilizes daily in his leadership role.
He oversees project execution, field operations, and crew coordination, ensuring that each project runs smoothly, safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Josh works closely with the teams, vendors, and clients to uphold ALBA’s commitment to reliability, craftmanship, and exceptional customer service.
In addition, Josh plays an active role in supporting estimating and pre-construction planning by providing technical input, reviewing project scope, and helping develop accurate, competitive bids. He also contributes to sales efforts by partnering with leadership to assess opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and ensure ALBA’s solutions align with customer needs.
Adrianna Sluga
Marketing Coordinator
Adrianna Sluga is our Marketing Coordinator at Alba Contractors, Inc. She supports the growth and visibility of our professional services through strategic marketing coordination and brand management. Adrianna focuses on promoting our expertise across both commercial and residential markets by coordinating digital content, project highlights, social media platforms, and marketing materials. Working closely with operations and leadership, she helps ensure our services and craftmanship are clearly communicated and consistently represented across all channels – telling the story of who we are and the work we proudly stand behind.
